Date: Thursday, Dec. 3
Time: During the free period and our normally scheduled class (12:10-2:50ish)
Campus Center Multi-Purpose Room (the same place as Joan Morgan's event)

Three of the leading spoken-word artists in the country, Kevin Coval, Roger Bonair-Agard, and Samantha Thornhill, will perform and discuss their work.

An HBO Def Poet, Coval is author of two award-winning books, Slingshots and Everyday People. Hailing from Trinidad, Bonair-Agard is an acclaimed poet living in Brooklyn. Thornhill, who teaches poetry at the Julliard School, wrote the children’s book Everybody Hates School Presentations.

They will be reading again later on that evening. The event will be hosted by our boy Adam Mansbach. There will be an open mic at the end of the later reading, which should start around 7:00 and end at 9:00.
